Description of problem: After Clicking on Desktop Launcher I see gui saying "XIPHOS building interface" and then it disappears with no further action.  TOP shows nothing xiphos or gnomesword or sword process.
/var/log/messages contains following:

reinstalled epel-release package to make sure most recent keys were on system.
