I managed to get it working by installing LXDE desktop and entering the credentials for the wifi network there. Now it works even in Gnome. So the error is that it was not possible to enter any user credentials, but it works if they are already present, Carsten Steps to reproduce are rather confusing. I'm using NetworkManager for WPA2 networks regularly without problem (version follows). NetworkManager-0.9.3.997-0.7.fc17.x86_64 The crash was for some some buggy drivers in newer kernels that didn't advertise WEP cipher capabilities. Already fixed upstream: bb6da998b22d6ca9356c1947d877ccc6d006ff20 The fix is present in F17 from 0.9.3.995-0.5 up. |
