Description Dana Mison 2012-02-28 02:45:33 UTC
The Bugzilla & Create Bug menu items only seem to reload the same page.

You can select the menu item and right-click "copy URL" or "open URL in new window" and it works.

But if you just click on the menu items the page just reloads.

I have seen this behaviour on Google Chrome on Linux.

Usually what happens for me:

1. Click "Create Bug"
Result: Page reloads
2. Click "Create Bug"
Result: Bug report opens in new tab

Works as expected in Firefox 6.0 and Chrome 17.0.963.56

Issue only appears to exist when using Safari 5.1.3

Repeating the action isn't working for me. Tried up to 6 times.

Also the Entities menu works. It seems to be the Apps & Bugzilla menus.

Comment 4 Dana Mison 2012-02-28 05:11:46 UTC
Huh, seems to be any menu item that opens in a new window/tab with target="_blank"

If I edit the page with the webkit web inspector and remove that attribute it works (opens in the same window)

Comment 5 Joshua Wulf 2012-02-28 05:15:21 UTC
To clarify Comment 1: it is an intermittent issue for me in Google Chrome on Linux, no idea about causality.

Comment 6 Dana Mison 2012-02-28 05:20:20 UTC
Just to add to the weirdness, if I create the following html in a file on my desktop the links work as expected.

   <ul>
      <li><a href="http://google.com">same window</a></li>
      <li><a href="http://google.com" target="_blank">_blank window</a></li>
      <li><a href="http://google.com" target="_new">_new window</a></li>
   </ul>

As the old UI is being phased out, this bug won't be fixed.
