Description Richard W.M. Jones 2012-03-01 12:43:04 UTC
Description of problem:

For a while, libguestfs upstream has supported access to
guestfsd installed and running in Linux guests. This lets
you modify live guests, which is normally not possible with
libguestfs.
(See: https://rwmj.wordpress.com/2011/07/06/libguestfs-live/#content )

However this feature isn't well tested and we shouldn't let
RHEL 6 users use it right now.

Therefore it should be disabled in the RHEL 6 packages that
we ship.

libguestfs-1.16.10-1.el6.x86_64, basic function for default mode "appliance" is ok, so fixed,

><fs> set-attach-method unix:/tmp/guestfs
><fs> run
libguestfs: error: launch: In RHEL 6, only the 'appliance' method is supported.
In particular, "libguestfs live" is not supported.
