Composing a new message, ctrl+enter and esc when prompted for password and
closing window looses the message, since no saving dialog prompt appears.

Bug has been fixed upstream, but a patch should be applied to the stable version.

Isn't is sufficient to have it part of Fedora 17, which will contain the upcoming stable version of evolution?

Thanks for your reply, Milan.

I discovered this bug after loosing more than an hour work coposing a message. It is a bug that leads to lost data (and time associated), it isn't a new implemented feature. As far as I know, Fedora 17 hasn't been released yet.

I have reported this bug to have it fixed.

If you were so kind, I'd really appreciate to have this bug fixed.

Package evolution-3.2.3-2.fc16:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 16 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing evolution-3.2.3-2.fc16'
as soon as you are able to.
