Description of problem:
Installation crashes and kernel init crashes in general with a PDC20277 chipset.
Only happens with RH images.

Crashes in tune_chipset. Generates a kernel oops message and does not continue,
effectively hanging.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Try a RH Install CD with a pdc20277 chipset in the system
2.Try a RH image already installed with a pdc20277 chipset in the system
3.
    

Actual Results:  Kernel oops message in tune_chipset

Expected Results:  Normal kernel init.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, 
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
