Description Steve Dickson 2012-03-09 20:37:09 UTC
Description of problem:
The following warning will appear on all v4 mounts:
Warning: rpc.idmapd appears not to be running.
All uids will be mapped to the nobody uid.

The cause of this warning is due to the /var/lock/subsys/rpcidmapd
is no longer created when the rpc.idmapd daemon is started. Due to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=710020 the file that is
now created is /var/lock/subsys/rpc.idmap

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
nfs-utils-1.0.9-60.el5

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.mount -tnfs4 server:/export /mnt
2.
3.
