Description G. Michael Carter 2012-03-13 19:08:45 UTC
I have a Marvell card in my computer. (which when my problem started I had my DVD drive plugged into it)

After a while of use it just stops working. After much debugging I found the common thread was the Marvell card. (tried swapping drives etc)

So I bought a new PCI-E SATA card... dumb me managed to get another card with the Marvell chip in it.

Now with the DVD plugged into it, same issue. When I plugged it into another chipset it works fine so it seems to be only the Marvell cards. Which is leading me to believe it's a driver issue.

My issue is with 08:00.0 and 03:00.0

No errors in the dmesg... just stops working and eject /dev/sr1 no longer works nor playing a DVD.
