Description Marc Muehlfeld 2012-03-20 10:57:20 UTC
Description of problem:
The position of the template variable %CURSOR doesn't work like expected.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
First time I saw the problem in kdepim-4.8.1-3. In previsous versions it worked like configured.

How reproducible:
Allways.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Settings -> Configure KMail... -> Composer -> Templates -> Reply to Sender
2. Place variable %CURSOR e. g. in the first line and the %QUOTE below
3. Save changes
3. Click to reply on an email.

Actual results:
The cursor is set at the end of the email, instead of the first line.

Expected results:
The cursor should be placed where it is configured in the template..

Additional info:
Example template:
%CURSOR
%REM="Standardvorlage für Antworten"%-
Am %ODATE, %OTIMELONG schrieben Sie:
%QUOTE

Workaround:
Place a space *in front* of %CURSOR:
 %CURSOR
%REM="Standardvorlage für Antworten"%-
Am %ODATE, %OTIMELONG schrieben Sie:
%QUOTE

Now the cursor is placed at the top of the mail. But the space is *behind* the cursor - not like configured *in front*.

Sounds like an off-by-one. Is this already filed upstream at bugs.kde.org?

Comment 2 Martin Bříza 2012-07-17 14:49:53 UTC
Fixed in kdepim-4.8.2, it should be OK after updating the system. Closing the bug. If the issue is still present, please reopen the bug.
