Please, correct the PIDFile in /lib/systemd/system/thttpd.service to match the provided /etc/thttpd.conf:

Current PIDFile:
  PIDFile=/var/run/thttpd

Correct PIDFile:
  PIDFile=/var/run/thttpd.pid
