Thanks for your report. Are you running gdisk from installed system or DVD image? I have a feeling this is anaconda problem (creation of DVD) and not gdisk. I've tried to boot the Fedora-17-Alpha-x86_64-DVD.iso file in qemu, and it says there is no gdisk ... unfortunately, I don't have that USB stick I've used at hand btw, would that be possible that after the filesystem got mounted, going to shell I'd be put into chrooted environment, not noticing that? (for sure I haven't tried to chroot to a partition on a disk which I was going to play with using gdisk ...) I think I am going to close this issue. Any more digging you want to do?
