Description Mikuláš Patočka 2012-03-26 22:46:35 UTC
Description of problem:

Screen resolution is limited to 1024x768 when using analog VGA cable.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
control-center-2.28.1-25.el6.x86_64
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.10.4-6.el6_2.3.x86_64

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
use videocard nVidia Corporation NV44 [Quadro NVS 285] (rev a1)
use EIZO FlexScan EV2333W monitor
connect the monitor with analog VGA cable
try to set display resolution

Actual results:
the dialog window of gnome-display-properties allows you to set resolutions 1024x768, 800x600, 848x480, 640x480

Expected results:
the monitor has 1920x1080, so it should be allowed to set this resolution. On a different computer, 1920x1080 works fine through the VGA cable.

Comment 3 RHEL Program Management 2012-05-03 05:15:39 UTC
Since RHEL 6.3 External Beta has begun, and this bug remains
unresolved, it has been rejected as it is not proposed as
exception or blocker.

Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to
propose this request, if appropriate and relevant, in the
next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Comment 4 Jan Kurik 2017-12-06 11:13:11 UTC
