Description of problem: The link to the NASA repository of SRTM files is broken. 


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 16


Additional info: I think I found a place to download them from the USGS but it is a painful process that requires an account and I have yet to successfully download a file.

I'm closing this bug as part of a Bugzilla cleanup effort. The most likely reason is that the bug has been opened either against a component we no longer publish, or against Release Notes for an EOL release.
