Description Peter Robinson 2012-04-04 09:07:21 UTC
When trying to connect to the office WPA-Enterprise network the gnome-shell prompt just keeps re-prompting me for my password.

If I press cancel it still continues to prompt me.

This was working, even with the same stored password in F-16. When F-15 with gnome 3.0 was first released it has issues too but was fixed shortly there after and has worked since so this is a regression.

rpm -q NetworkManager gnome-shell
NetworkManager-0.9.4.0-1.git20120328.fc17.x86_64
gnome-shell-3.4.0-1.fc17.x86_64

does anything get output to ~/.xsession-errors ?

Comment 3 Peter Robinson 2012-04-04 16:48:19 UTC
Just the following each time it prompts again for the AP password:

Window manager warning: Log level 8: g_value_get_string: assertion `G_VALUE_HOLDS_STRING (value)' failed
Window manager warning: Log level 8: g_value_get_string: assertion `G_VALUE_HOLDS_STRING (value)' failed

Dan: any update? It's still an issue with the latest updates.

Comment 5 Jirka Klimes 2012-04-17 15:20:48 UTC
$ rpm -q wpa_supplicant

If downgrading to wpa_supplicant-1.0-0.2.fc17 helps then it's a dupe of bug 802552

Comment 6 Peter Robinson 2012-04-17 15:30:12 UTC
Confirmed manually downgrading allows me to connect to my office WPA-Enterprise AP.
