Steps to Reproduce:
1. press Ctrl+PrtSc
2. check home/Pictures folder
3. no file appears
  
Actual results:
 screen flashes white, appears to take screenshot

Expected results:
 screenshot file written


Additional info:

 Alt+PrtSc works properly

That's expected, as when the Ctrl modifier is used, screenshots are copied to the clipboard instead of disk.
You can find a list of default screenshot keybindings in the System Settings Keyboard panel.
