package upgrades done today solved the problem. probably one of these was responsible of the fix: kernel-3.3.4-1.fc16.x86_64 libdrm-2.4.33-1.fc16.x86_64 xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.11.4-3.fc16.x86_64 best regards |
Created attachment 576044 [details] xorg log file Description of problem: after upgrading the kernel to version 3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64 I restarted the machine and the dvi output now appears as disconnected. the machine is a laptop with an internal screen (which works ok) and an external monitor connected through a dvi connector. Prior kernel versions worked ok Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.3.1-3.fc16.x86_64 How reproducible: restarting the machine. trying to detect the external monitor with the gui or the xrandr command doesn't works Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
