Fixed in selinux-policy-3.9.16-53.fc15 This message is a notice that Fedora 15 is now at end of life. Fedora has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 15. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version' of '15' have been closed as WONTFIX. (Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.) Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were unable to fix it before Fedora 15 reached end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged to click on "Clone This Bug" (top right of this page) and open it against that version of Fedora. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. The process we are following is described here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping |
Description of problem: During execution of custom openvpn scripts I usually get the following avc: type=AVC msg=audit(1334018804.813:791): avc: denied { getattr } for pid=9017 comm="openvpn-ip" name="/" dev=dm-0 ino=2 scontext=unconfined_u:system_r:openvpn_t:s0 tcontext=system_u:object_r:fs_t:s0 tclass=filesystem type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1334018804.813:791): arch=40000003 syscall=99 success=no exit=-13 a0=80fd727 a1=bfdbc60c a2=e83ff4 a3=ffffffc8 items=0 ppid=9011 pid=9017 auid=0 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 tty=(none) ses=31 comm="openvpn-ip" exe="/bin/bash" subj=unconfined_u:system_r:openvpn_t:s0 key=(null) Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): selinux-policy targeted 3.9.16-52 (the latest for FC15) and openvpn is v2.2.2 (the latest as well) How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure openvpn to start/execute at least one custom script 2. 3. Actual results: The above avc is shown upon execution of that script Expected results: openvpn to be kept shtum/quiet Additional info: This is easily rectified by including the following in openvpn.te: fs_dontaudit_getattr_xattr_fs(openvpn_t) or fs_getattr_xattr_fs(openvpn_t) to allow such access (don't know why such access would be needed though)
