Comments from upstream kernel developer: <mjg59> Yeah, upower isn't being terribly helpful there Mind you, nor is the kernel <mjg59> There's no type distinction between batteries that are powering the system and batteries that are powering the peripheral You need to look at the path for that (you == upower, in this context) It seems there are several tickets open related to the same issue. At least: 812625, 830046, 845770, 806295, 863524 Can you please attach the lsinput output, there are some devices that do not report the correct info about how to grab the information, resulting in the error you get, in those cases I need to add a quirk to the kernel, I just need to make sure you are having the same case.. This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '16'.
