The login links on the front page of the portal main screen will not display, and the accounts are not available for use. 
- this is not correct, links on main page are displayed but clicking on them returns 403, and it's still possible to use accounts (root,john,mary,demo) at common sign in dialog

I would replace the word "see" with view.

See for me, would be the result of issuing the ls command. See the file, view the contents.

As an aside, for French translation,  "to see" translates to "regarder"  whereas view tranlates to "voir". 

Please correct for Fedora 20.

I think you have reported this issue under the wrong bug, Leslie. This is a ticket for the Installation Guide for Red Hat JBoss Portal Platform.
