Description Daniel Walsh 2012-04-18 16:18:44 UTC
Description of problem:

My NFS homedir, is currently screwed up since it sees all of the files as owned by nobody, but when I try to run xchat, the kernel crashes.

3.3.2-1.fc17.x86_64

Comment 1 Josh Boyer 2012-04-18 16:31:50 UTC
We'd need to see the crash. Perhaps it's bug 811138

Comment 2 Daniel Walsh 2012-04-26 13:44:36 UTC
I am no longer seeing this, however I think this was triggered by a different problem, where the IDs on NFS were not being translated correctly. Now I installed an updated kernel 3.3.2-8.fc17 and the UID/GID translations on NFS seem to be working again, and xchat is no longer blowing up the kernel.
