Description Gianni Giardina 2012-04-18 17:54:45 UTC
* Description of problem:

nut-monitor fails to run because of some missing files in the nut-client package. They are those which should be present in the /usr/share/nut/nut-monitor/pixmaps directory, currently empty.

* Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

nut-client-2.6.3-1.el6

* Steps to Reproduce:

Open a shell and type: 'nut-monitor'. The program aborts with the following error message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/nut-monitor", line 901, in <module>
    gui = interface()
  File "/usr/bin/nut-monitor", line 216, in __init__
    self.connect_to_ups()
  File "/usr/bin/nut-monitor", line 699, in connect_to_ups
    self.__gui_update_ups_vars_view()
  File "/usr/bin/nut-monitor", line 726, in __gui_update_ups_vars_view
    icon = gtk.gdk.pixbuf_new_from_file( icon_file )
glib.GError: Failed to open file '/usr/share/nut/nut-monitor/pixmaps/var-rw.png': No such file or directory

* Workaround

Download the SRPM (nut-2.6.3-1.el6.src.rpm), extract from the tarball contained in the package the missing files and copy them into the required location.

* Additional info:

Looking at the SPEC file, I see the line which should install the nut-monitor's pixmaps commented. Moreover, the pixmaps are not present in the package's file list.
