Description of problem:
Since Sunday 22nd April, all attempts to update Fedora 16 installations have resulted in the message "The software is not from a trusted source. Do not update these packages unless you are sure it is safe to do so."


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
PackageKit-0.6.22-1.fc16.i686

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to System Settings / System Info / Install Updates.
2. Click Install.
  
Actual results:
Fedora demands the root password to confirm that the packages are from a trusted source. However, it does not tell me what this source is and so I cannot make an informed choice as to whether or not this is safe. I do know that Fedora never used to demand the root password like this.


Expected results:
The updates are installed without demanding the root password first.


Additional info:
The current behaviour is exactly what I would expect if the Fedora repository had been subverted, or I had been redirected to a different repository via DNS poisoning. How am I supposed to tell any different?

I'm seeing the exact same problem, although I'm running x86_64.

I'm having this problem also. I don't have much stuff installed to Fedora 16. Waiting for a "Solved" to start updating.

I experience the exactly same problem. It started with the last updates of packagekit (packagekit-yum-plugin, packagekit-gtk3-module, etc...) which I installed 19th of april.


Fedora 16, arch is x86_64

Packagekit Version: 0.6.22-1.fc16
