The amount of space required to perform a graphical installation is different than the amount required to /run/ that installed system. Many factors go into this, such as what method of install (http vs nfs vs DVD vs Live), what the total package set is and what the rpm dependencies of those are. Anaconda memory usage spiked in Fedora 16 and we're working to bring it down for f17, but we have not yet determined our total memory requirements. As such, I don't really think this is a bug report we can do anything about. 16 is already released and we're already working to lower the requirements for f17. |
