This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 16. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '16'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 16's end of life. Created attachment 585094 [details] Error message on boot This bug is driving me crazy... I have 2 identical laptop installations - both up-to-date fedora 16 x86_64. One installation is with pulse audio, the other is without pulse audio. Yet both systems show the same buggy behaviour - namely on every boot the attached error message is shown... Phonon asks to throw away the laptop sound card. If I answer yes, I have no sound, if I answer no, this sound card is used. Thereafter, every 5 to 10 minutes, in KDE's notification tray item, the error message hda_intel is no longer available, switching to hda_intel... How to solve this?
