Description of problem:
Fedora is currently on SDL 1.2.14, but the upstream version is 1.12.15. All of the accompanying SDL libraries are also one release behind.

1.12.15 has been already packaged into Fedora 18 (https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=590). We back-port important fixes into older Fedora releases.

The other SDL libraries are separate packages and you need to report your request to the specific components.
