Description of problem:
Birthdays and anniversaries do never show up in the calendar.


Bug2: When testing, I noticed that I could not even create another addressbook of any type;
the 'apply' button was always greyed out.

Thanks for a bug report. The Birthdays and Aniversaries calendar had been fixed recently, within upstream bug report [1].

I also tried the address book creation and it works for me. If I call File->New->Address book, then it's opened with "On This Computer" type, and the "Apply" button is disabled. When I enter a uniqueu name to it, the "Apply" button is enabled.
