Yum has been included on the final install image to allow for offline installation of packages. The yum command must have the --force parameter to execute properly. This feature inclusion was added to assist in delivering custom packages from engineering and not for regular use.

Description Mike Burns 2012-05-22 03:01:05 UTC
Description of problem:
We need to add yum to RHEV-H to allow for offline rpm installation.

Feature details:

user dropping to shell and running "yum" or "/usr/bin/yum" will get a warning message out that says that yum is not supported on a running system.

any/all Repos are disabled by default or removed completely

actual yum command will be located in a different location and/or different name

have a "force" flag or similar that will cause /usr/bin/yum to call the actual yum command
