Hm... maybe. kmod doesn't actually parse /etc/modprobe.conf at all. You can put whatever you want in there and it's utterly ignored. It _does_ look at anything ending in .conf in /etc/modprobe.d though, and it provides modprobe.d(5) already, which provides the same documentation as the old modprobe.conf(5) man page did. (In m-i-t, the modprobe.d.sgml source file is just a symlink to modprobe.conf.sgml.) So, given that it already ships the information required, is that sufficient? Otherwise, I'm going to wind up making a symlink in the spec file that just points modprobe.conf -> modprobe.d A spec file symlink so that 'man modprobe.conf' returns the new man page is fine with me. Fixed in git. Will be in an F17 update shortly and rawhide tomorrow. kmod-7-2.fc17 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 17. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-8264/kmod-7-2.fc17 Package kmod-7-2.fc17: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days.
