Description Karel Volný 2012-05-24 10:26:52 UTC
I file a separate bug for the issue mentioned in bug #602185 comment #6

I did a minimal install; during that I've setup static network info and succesfully loaded repositories from the Internet

after rebooting and starting network, the Internet was unreachable

I've found that this was because the default gateway was missing

but in ifcfg-eth0 there was

GATEWAY0=the.ip.of.gateway

examining the scripts, it looks like ifup-eth is unable to cope with the trailing zero in "GATEWAY0" - after deleting it and restarting the service the gateway is set up correctly

thanks, sorry for the duplicate ... what's up with bugzilla today, this should had shown up in search - I've found the abovementioned comment in #602185 and not the bug #708409 which has very similar subject to this one? :-/
