FEDORA 17 32 bit mode on Acer Aspire - 5732-6674 i3-380M processor; 8Gb mem; 750Gb hdd; 15.6" screen installed 6/18/2012. Yumex is normally showning a policykit kit dialog asking as adminstrator password, if your user is admin, then use your own password, else use root password. the error you are expiring comes if you type cancel or type a wrong password If you what to disable the need to enter password, read here http://yum-extender.blogspot.dk/2012/05/running-yumex-without-typing-password.html I have added some better error messages based on the return codes from polkit test packages here: http://timlau.fedorapeople.org/files/yumex/ yumex-3.0.9-1.fc18 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 18. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/yumex-3.0.9-1.fc18 yumex-3.0.9-1.fc17 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 17. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/yumex-3.0.9-1.fc17 Package yumex-3.0.9-1.fc18: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 18 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing yumex-3.0.9-1.fc18' as soon as you are able to.
