Hello, i have a samsung series 5 530U (P530UB) and after a tricky installation it seems ok but some points i would like to share:

when i push off the power cable, gnome does not detect automatically that the energy is on battery only. I have to suspend and then back to get detected.

maybe not a problem, but machine keeps high temperatures when under heavy load. It tops 93ºC when, for example, playing braid of heroes of newerth.

the triky installation is just do do the correct bios magic, false for fast post and true for uefi... don't think it's related to some distro issue so let's put this one aside.

i am attaching some reports made with hardinfo, hope it helps.

it's a bit annoying to have to hibernate to get the proper battery status or to avoid leg skin contact when playing a simple game.

Hello, i have some news there

after installing the KDE Software compilation group i got it working at 70ºC. 

I'll try fluxbox and see if i can make it even more cooler

This message is a reminder that Fedora 17 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 17. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time

'version' of '17'.

Fedora 17 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2013-07-30. Fedora 17 is 
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further 
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of 
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version.
