Curently python3-BeautifulSoup provide a deprecated version (3.2) 
- v3.2 -> 2010 / 11 / 21
- v4.1 -> 2012 / 05 / 29

Fedora provide a old package for the next python release (python 3)

 yum info python3-BeautifulSoup.noarch ==> give version 3.2.0
 
but

 ls /usr/lib/python3.2/site-packages/beautifulsoup*

seem to show tthat the version is installed

Thanks for your report.

This strangeness will be corrected by moving python3-BeautifulSoup to python-beautifulsoup4.

* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing python-BeautifulSoup-3.2.1-3.fc17'
as soon as you are able to.
