missing characters in fonts as per kn.orth file
1. U+0C8C
2. U+0CE1

  Do we need these characters in Kannada language?

Pravin,

As per current usage of Kannada script, I don't see any relevance of these characters.

There are couple of more characters which can also be omitted.

Thanks Pravin and Shankar. 

Fixed the Bug by adding missing glyphs. Updated the Git repository.

For fedora packaging tar.gz

git clone https://github.com/aravindavk/Navilu.git
cd Navilu
make fedora

This will generate navilu-1.2.tar.gz and navilu-ttf-1.2.tar.gz in /tmp/ directory as per the Fedora requirements. 

Let me know if any changes required.

let me know if you are planning to upstream release of 1.2, else i will simply patch existing release with update .sfd file.

navilu-fonts-1.2-1.fc17 has been pushed to the Fedora 17 stable repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
