I have open a new bug on the manual page at: crypttab tab man page password section needs to be updated https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=846140 It contains my proposed updates to the manual page. And includes modifications to encompass bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=845701 Crypttab does not mount volume at boot as well. I am not sure if we can fix this (in initscripts) because of backward compatibility. Let say that there is someone happily using password like this\is"my'passsword. (In reply to comment #3) > I am not sure if we can fix this (in initscripts) because of backward > compatibility. Let say that there is someone happily using password like > this\is"my'passsword. ¡Ay, caramba! Me thinks the man page is the only solution (bug 846140). Please go ahead and close this bug |
