Description Eric Sammons 2012-09-04 15:09:09 UTC
Description of problem:
When creating a role in a katello+ldap configuration I should not be required to enter the name of the ldap group, rather I should be presented with a list of available ldap groups with the +Add option to the right of each. This portion of the UI should look no different than when warden: database and working with users.

A query example:
ldapsearch -h ldap_host -b "ou=Groups,dc=......" "objectclass=posixGroup" -x cn

Let us not forget that the same behavior should be applied for when creating users. Clicking the +Add User should give me a list of all the available users from the ldap server itself.

Per 6.3 planning, moving out non acked bugs to the backlog

Comment 4 Bryan Kearney 2017-08-03 17:21:51 UTC
Thank you for your interest in Satellite 6. We have evaluated this request, and we do not expect this to be implemented in product in the forseeable future. We are therefore closing this out as WONTFIX. If you have any concerns about this, please feel free to contact Rich Jerrido or Bryan Kearney. Thank you.
