Note that https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Tmpfiles.d says that tmpfiles.d config file is NOT marked as %config, however I think this is minor issue. Fixed in rawhide. Package openvpn-2.2.2-7.fc17: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing openvpn-2.2.2-7.fc17' as soon as you are able to. Description of problem: After reboot, rpm -V openvpn says: ......G.. /var/run/openvpn i.e. group of /var/run/openvpn is not right. $ ls -lad /var/run/openvpn drwx--x---. 2 root openvpn 40 Sep 5 10:21 /var/run/openvpn $ rpm -qlv openvpn | grep /var/run/ drwx--x--- 2 root root 0 Feb 14 2012 /var/run/openvpn Actually the above 2 does not match. openvpn.spec has the entry %dir %{_localstatedir}/run/%{name}/ On the other hand, /etc/tmpfiles.d/openvpn.conf contains: D /var/run/openvpn 0710 root openvpn - Here group specification does not match. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): openvpn-2.2.2-4.fc17 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. yum install openvpn 2. reboot 3. rpm -V openvpn Actual results: ......G.. /var/run/openvpn Expected results: No rpm -V error Additional info: For the location of tmpfiles.d conf file, also see bug 840188 .
