Thanks for a bug report. EWS works in a different way than most of other accounts in evolution, including local folders. EWS uses real Trash and junk folders, thus deleted messages are moved to the Deleted Items folder and are gone from their source folder.

The other accounts use tagging of message as deleted. They are not moved to a different folder, thus they can be undeleted and they reappear in their original folder. Tagged messages by deleted flag are shown in virtual Trash folder.

Deleted messages are not usually shown in their folders, the menu option View->Show deleted messages allows it, then the deleted messages are shown with strike-out font. The trick to completely get rid of them is to expunge the Trash or the respective folder. You can do that by right-clicking Trash folder and choose "Expunge Trash", or select the respective folder and choose Folder->Expunge (Ctrl+E).

Delete deleted message, aka in virtual Trash folder, does currently nothing. There is a bug report to be able to expunge only selected messages filled upstream, but I'm not sure if it ever happen, as if you follow the analogy with Trash, then it's like get only certain garbage from it and put it into a garbage can. :)

Ok, I am understand. But be better if Delete button really work with Trash (means physically remove messages) or be unavailable in Trash folder.
