Is there another movie file or application which is legally freely redistributable that you can reproduce this problem with as well? It might be a better idea to report this problem on XFree86's bugzilla system so that a much larger array of developers are aware of the problem, perhaps one of whom owns Quake 3 and can investigate the issue. http://bugs.xfree86.org If you report it there, please provide a URL here so that I can track the issue in their bugzilla as well. Description of problem: Quake 3 Arena cinematics don't work anymore after upgrading from 8.0 to rawhide with Mike Harris' XFree 4.3 rpms. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): XFree86-4.3.0-2.1 How reproducible: Always. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Quake3 Actual results: Id logo movie stands still at frame 1. (every other movie shows this frame - or a part of it) Expected results: What do you think? :) Additional info: System configuration: P3/1GHz, 512mb, Matrox G400 16mb using XFree DRI drivers.
