Description of problem: Running yum update when a ntfs-3g update occurs, one can see a special notice for obsoleted packages: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): up to 2012.1.15-4.fc18 How reproducible: always on ntfs-3g version or release update Steps to Reproduce: 1. yum update Actual results: ntfsprofs use the Obsoletes package update path. Expected results: ntfs-3g and sub-package should update like any normal update. Additional info: There is a need to remove these lines from ntfs-3g spec: <------------ # Needed to fix multilib issue Obsoletes: ntfsprogs < %{epoch}:%{version}-%{release} ------------> As this case doesn't apply to multilib since ntfs-3g doesn't have any libraries and is only provided once in the x86_64 repository. At the very least, Obsoletes should be harcoded at the version when the changes occurred, but not use any %version-%release macro
