Description of problem:
Gnome Terminal does not display cursor in MATE-Desktop-cannot write to it

How reproducible:
Start gnome Terminal from MATE Main Menu 
MATE is installed to F18 TC2 Beta Gnome Desktop install

terminal window starts but no cursor - cannot write to it

Terminal to be usable

alt ctrl 1 login works

There is a mate-terminal coming shortly:

http://pub.mate-desktop.org/releases/mate-terminal-1.4.0.tar.xz

I believe this may be related to mate-control-center or mate-window-manager. Will look into this further shortly.

mate-terminal is available in the fedora repos now.
