I have not investigated the problem yet on why remote
printing works from some machines but not others,
but it is clear looking at the code sendit() in lpd
may strip out ot "f" command line from the command
file before transmitting the command file to the
remote machine.

The following will hack seems to work around this
particular problem.

                          }

                         sendresult = sendfile('\3', last+1);

Is there a better fix for this bug?

Also I'll try to get information on why it works on some
machines (using the same remote printcap file).

Doug

I did not see the update rpm verion 48-1
for lpr, installing that works.

Sorry about that.
