Description Dmitri Pal 2012-10-16 13:27:29 UTC
This bug is created as a clone of upstream ticket:
https://fedorahosted.org/freeipa/ticket/3161

When using ipa-server-install --setup-dns interactively, answering either yes or no when it asks whether or not we want the reverse one created makes no difference.
The reverse zone is always created.

Comment 2 Martin Kosek 2012-10-19 14:21:19 UTC
A patch to fix ipa-{server,dns}-install unattended mode - reverse zone was not being created:

Restarting the web server
==============================================================================
Setup complete

Next steps:
	1. You must make sure these network ports are open:
		TCP Ports:
		  * 80, 443: HTTP/HTTPS
		  * 389, 636: LDAP/LDAPS
		  * 88, 464: kerberos
		  * 53: bind
		UDP Ports:
		  * 88, 464: kerberos
		  * 53: bind
		  * 123: ntp

	2. You can now obtain a kerberos ticket using the command: 'kinit admin'
	   This ticket will allow you to use the IPA tools (e.g., ipa user-add)
	   and the web user interface.

Be sure to back up the CA certificate stored in /root/cacert.p12
This file is required to create replicas. The password for this
file is the Directory Manager password
[root@rhel6-1 ~]# kinit admin
Password for admin:
[root@rhel6-1 ~]# ipa dnszone-find
  Zone name: testrelm.com
  Authoritative nameserver: rhel6-1.testrelm.com.
  Administrator e-mail address: hostmaster.testrelm.com.
