Description of problem: It is not currently possible to use 'timedatectl' to change the timezone without setting selinux to permissive (or disabled). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): F18b TC6 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: # timedatectl Local time: Sat, 2012-10-27 10:24:15 PDT Universal time: Sat, 2012-10-27 17:24:15 UTC RTC time: Sat, 2012-10-27 17:24:15 Timezone: America/Los_Angeles NTP enabled: no NTP synchronized: no RTC in local TZ: no # timedatectl set-timezone America/Buenos_Aires Failed to issue method call: Access denied # setenforce 0 # timedatectl set-timezone America/Buenos_Aires # timedatectl Local time: Sat, 2012-10-27 10:24:28 PDT Universal time: Sat, 2012-10-27 17:24:28 UTC RTC time: Sat, 2012-10-27 17:24:28 Timezone: America/Buenos_Aires NTP enabled: no NTP synchronized: no RTC in local TZ: no Actual results: selinux must be disabled or set to permissive in order to change the timezone. Expected results: depends. Additional info: i tried a 'getsebool -a | grep -i date' and it did not shield any tun-able. Also i don't know what defaults will F18 will have. It currently looks like a bug.
