Description of problem:
Was importing music into banshee media player from a mounted ntfs partition while listening to a youtube video, xpdf was also open displaying a pdf from the same ntfs partition. Everything started freezing up and not responding so i was eventually forced to push Ctrl-Alt-BackSpace, i believe the problem was just out of memory (4Gb of RAM installed!) or a bottleneck in read/writing the ntfs partition.
