Thanks for a bug report. I moved this upstream as [1]. Please see [1] for any further updates. If possible, please CC yourself there, in case upstream developers will have additional questions.

With respect of the backtrace, it's crashing when it tries to send a message through your SMTP account. I do not see from the backtrace why it does so, I thought evolution doesn't send messages from Outbox right after start, but maybe my information is outdated. I suggest to go to
   ~/.local/share/evolution/mail/local/.Outbox
and check content of each three directories and move away any files from them. You can import the message to Outbox folder in Evolution by File->Import->Single file->... afterwards.
