Description Geoffrey Thomas 2012-11-23 03:52:40 UTC
Hi,

Would you mind building python-flask 0.9 and python-flask-sqlalchemy 0.16 for fc17? These are built for later versions of Fedora and for EPEL 6, so I imagine building for Fedora 17 should not be too hard. The webhost I maintain is on a yearly upgrade cycle, and we have users who'd like to use the latest version of Flask.

Thanks!

Flask 0.9 includes backwards incompatible changes which go against the Fedora Updates Policy: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Updates_Policy

The EPEL 6 branch was added later, and so we started off that branch with Flask 0.9 after an exemption was granted to bump the version of Werkzeug in EPEL.

Might I suggest building a Flask 0.9 RPM for your users? You should be able to do this fairly easily using the 0.9 sources from the F18 branch.
