Description oliver foster 2012-12-01 19:20:00 UTC
Lots of people are saying that Nautilus 3.6 isn't their prefered file manager. Nemo is the old-style Nautilus 3.4 with changes from the Linux Mint community.

These directions will replace nautilus with nemo as the default file manager / desktop manager.

1. Install nemo file manager

# su -c "yum install nemo"

2. Edit from su or sudo with root rights /usr/share/application/mimeinfo.cache

# su -c "vi /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache"

3. Change line inode/directory=

a. scroll to line:

inode/directory=

b. press insert
c. change to

inode/directory=nemo.desktop;

d. type :w[enter]
e. type :quit[enter]

4. Restart
