Description Tom Lane 2012-12-06 19:46:09 UTC
Description of problem:
I'm seeing multilib complaints from rpmdiff about openjpeg. The problem is diffs like this one:

--- /usr/share/doc/openjpeg-devel-1.5.0/html/unionv4.html on x86_64	2012-10-29 10:13:38.429680573 -0400

 </a> 1.8.1.2
 </small></address>

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
openjpeg-1.5.0-5

How reproducible:
100%

Actual results:
/usr/share/ files are different between x86 and x86_64 builds.

Expected results:
These files should be identical.

Additional info:
One possible solution is to build the derived doc files manually and upload them as a secondary source tarball (I use this approach in postgresql). Or maybe there is a way to tell doxygen not to include timestamps. There was some discussion of this type of problem on the fedora-devel list not too long ago, if memory serves.

Arg no, this is just doxygen being lame. I've experience fixing this in kde, i'll do so here.

Comment 2 Rex Dieter 2012-12-07 14:58:56 UTC
for posterity, the problematic Doxyfile directive is:
HTML_TIMESTAMP         = YES
