gsettings-data-convert crash with this message

Settings schema 'org.gnome.evolution' does not contain a key named 'last-upgraded-version'

edit /usr/share/GConf/gsettings/evolution-rspam.convert and remove line with last-upgraded-version = /apps/evolution/last_version

solve the problem.

Comment 15 Milan Crha 2013-05-02 09:42:53 UTC
Thanks for a bug report (and Sergio for a ping on bug #886881). This is an issue in evolution-rspam, thus let's move it there.

evolution-rspam-0.6.0-convert-fix.patch

This is a patch which removed [org.gnome.evolution] from evolution-rspam.convert file, because these kyes are supposed to be handled by evolution itself, not by evolution-rspam.

Cooly, could you incorporate it into the upstream version, please?

I'll build an update for f18, f19 and rawhide meanwhile.

I do not maintain the package, but from what I see I guess the reason is that the %pre and %preun sections still touch GConf schemas file, while the sources got ported to GSettings, thus this .schemas file is gone.

So should we change this bug to evolution-rss to save work or open a new one ?

I'd prefer to open a new bug for the .spec file issue, to not mix multiple things into one bug report.

Comment 27 Milan Crha 2013-07-08 09:34:19 UTC
Thanks for the update. Just in case, do you have the right package versions, please? Because from my point of view, it seems like not, or a left-over from the previous packages.

   $ rpm -q evolution-rss evolution-rspam

Comment 28 Milan Crha 2013-07-08 09:39:09 UTC
Also, what is the key the /usr/bin/gsettings-data-convert claims about, please? Just run it from a console and paste here all its output from there. Thanks in advance.

Comment 29 Klaus Kiwi (Old account no longer used) 2013-07-08 14:06:35 UTC
Ops, seems like my issue is on a totally different key:

[klausk@klausk-br-ibm-com ~]$ rpm -q evolution-rss evolution-rspam
package evolution-rss is not installed
package evolution-rspam is not installed
[klausk@klausk-br-ibm-com ~]$ gsettings-data-convert

(gsettings-data-convert:5412): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.packagekit' does not contain a key named 'watch-active-transactions'
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)
[klausk@klausk-br-ibm-com ~]$

Comment 30 Milan Crha 2013-07-08 16:27:42 UTC
OK, no problem, Just check in which .convert file it is and then:
   $ yum provides /path/to/the/bad/file.convert
and then blame the right package :)

Comment 31 Fedora End Of Life 2013-12-21 15:43:00 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 18. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '18'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be
able to fix it before Fedora 18 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 32 Fedora End Of Life 2014-02-05 23:18:28 UTC
Fedora 18 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2014-01-14. Fedora 18 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
