Description of problem:
i ran "yum autoremove" which erased a large amount of packages. after booting failed, i reinstalled nvidia drivers multiple times, until booting was possible again (nouveau driver exits xorg with "no screens found"). 
now i can boot and log in (gnome fallback mode) and i get "xorg server crashed" error (error in xorg-server package)

fixed by recreating xorg.conf
